3 things I did (and still do) when I’m faced with something in my life I’m not happy about and want to change.
1. I’m aware there’s a problem…I recognise I don’t like something or a behaviour about myself…crucial first step…being aware and acknowledging it.
2. I’m then determined to do something about it. I may sulk for a bit (it’s ok I’m human and I can wallow for a bit) but then I face my challenge determined to meet it head on.
3. I’m persistent. Change does not occur immediately. Sometimes we need to shift our mindset or remove a person from our life or make a different choice to what we would normally do. It’s a hard process and usually doesn’t happen easily. I accept this (though I don’t always like it) and so knowing this I persist through it recognising it’s going to hurt and feel like crap. But persistence is what gets you there to a new level of growth and that’s what I’m focused on.
Which one of these do you get stuck on?
