  • Are you a reactive person? 
Do you feel the need to invite yourself to everything that's happening around you?
If yes.  That's a heck of a lot of stress to carry in your mind and body. 
Stress is not our natural state.  Stress is toxic to ourselves and others. 
Learn to detach.  Learn to observe like watching a twig float down the river.  Observe without judgement,  labeling  analysing. 
Free yourself from the habit of reacting.

  • When we have an experience,  internally we create a meaning. 
If this happens,  then it means this.  It's a construct,  a narrative we assign to it. 
When we experience trauma,  we do the same thing.  We construct a meaning about the event,  label it and keep it on file. 
Most of us do this unconsciously and so quickly we don't even know at a conscious level we've done it. 
Truth is,  we assign a meaning to just about everthing that happens out in the external world. 
Spend some time journaling or thinking about what your trauma means.  Have you personalised it? Is it about you? Have you made it mean no one cares? That the world is a cruel and lonely place. 
While exploring take notice of how that meaning you've placed on it make you feel? Does it empower you? Do you feel good? Or does it feel hurtful, shameful, sad,  unworthy? 
Allow these thoughts,  meaning and feelings to come to the surface. 
Comfort them.  Speak into you and give yourself permission to sit with it. 
As time goes on,  as you explore further,  as you find the meanings you have given this trauma.  Give yourself permission to give it another meaning. 
You have that power. 
Now notice the feelings you have around that? Do you notice any difference? 
Truthfully we are the ones that give meanings to the experience in our life.
Changing the meaning can give our lives back.  Give us freedom. It can release us from guilt,  shame,  unworthiness and empower us back to who we were born to be.

  • This is my morning ritual.  My fav cup of tea and reading a daily message. 
If you'd had told me this would become a routine that I love and look fwd to first thing in the morning,  I would have laughed at the absurdity of the idea. 
That's because it's taken this long for me to connect with me and the infinite universe.  It's taken this long to be able to sit in silence and peace and be in tune with me.  To feel comfortable to be open to life and it's possibilities.  To feel what I feel,  sometimes fear,  sometimes worry but approach it in vastly different ways to how I use to.  Instead of trying to run away,  I listen to what it is telling me. 
One thing my years of chronic #anxiety and #panic have taught me is I cannot control everything.  My push to control everything created my inner turmoil.  Slowly over time I had to learn to let go of everything.  I had to learn to trust myself that I could handle it and trust in a greater source of love. 
Learning to let go has been my greatest lesson and my greatest gift.

The cycle feels never ending. 
If you feel like you're  not getting what you want, it might be time to look at the beliefs you have in all areas of your life. 
We don't like to think that we get in or own way,  that we block our own goals but our beliefs about who we are and what we believe we deserve can completely sabotage what you're trying to achieve. 
So take some time to truthfully think about what you believe in all areas. 
Truth of it is... we get what we believe. Our experiences are a direct reflection of what we believe we deserve. 
It simply doesn't work any other way. 
The way to see your world change is to release the old belief and install a new belief.  You world must correspond with it.

  • More than likely most of your negative thoughts are BS from the past and you're just running old tapes in your head. 
Things that have been said over and over,  how you've been treated by family,  friends etc... most of it we keep bringing the past rubbish into the present and make it true for now. 
But is it?
Are you just running auto tapes?
Give yourself a chance to prove that those BS self talk statements are not about NOW. 
In this present moment YOU get to decide what you believe about you. 
The past BS will want to speak louder but you have to learn to make the present self talk  be louderr and stronger.
It's a habit to let the negative self talk run in your mind and dominate.  Stand up and catch them and decide you get to choose NOW.

  • What ever you want to achieve,  personally,  professionally.  Whoever you want to become,  to get there you must stay the course.. no matter what the obstacles.  Obstacles WILL happen.. they are not roadblocks or signs that you're on the wrong path,  They're indicators that a skill you need to get there needs refining. A new approach,  a new response,  a new way of thinking about it.  Obstacles are not dead ends. They are mean't to be there.
Stay the course.  Learn the lessons along the way and you willl get there.
