Let’s get real on the realities and impact of childhood trauma.
The reality of childhood trauma. The innocence of a child stripped without warning and no lifeline in the form of a loving parent to go to for comfort, assurance, safety, protection.
Can you imagine where this story leads?
Can we honestly expect a good outcome for such an experience?
Should we just believe life will sort itself out and ‘she’ll be right’?
Do we think this child will grow up and out of her trauma on her own without anyone intervening, showing her the path, guiding her and giving her the love she so desperately needed to then be able to live wholly and independently?
What do we honestly expect when a child goes without the very foundation of love, protection and safety from the people we believe are meant to be there for us?
